"Mini Pig" is a general term for smaller pigs selectively bred. You will see terms such as "Micro", "Super Micro", "Teacup", "Nano", "Super Nano", or "Pixie" in ads. Understand that these are labels that breeders use to imply a smaller adult pig.  These labels have no standard or guideline so any size pig can be labeled as a "Micro", "Super Micro", "Teacup", "Nano", "Super Nano", "Pixie", etc. Do not mistake "mini" for a pig at mature weight to fit in your purse. Miniature pigs can reach around 100-200 lbs & they typically stand 15 to 25 inches tall at the shoulder. It is best to find a breeder registered under the American Mini Pig Association who has had to provide proof of birth dates and photos of the actual measurements of their pigs. As stated on our homepage, we are currently working on getting our miniature pigs AMPA registered! This was something I had wanted to do a few years back, but I wanted our setup to be acceptable, especially for my farrowing sows. I'm wanting to do this all in mind of ethical breeding practices to improve the quality of the American Mini Pig as a whole.

All piglets will be vaccinated, dewormed, given iron booster shots, microchipped, & neutered or spayed at least 7 days before being placed in a home. I am obligated to thoroughly screen and educate all potential owners before placing a piglet. Discussion and/or resources should be provided on zoning requirements, secure fencing, pet pig challenges, other animals and persons living in the home, time investment, renting vs owning, behaviors, care requirements, health needs, etc., to ensure a stable forever home.

For "reserve only" piglets, we require a $200 non-refundable deposit which is deducted from the final price. Piglets can leave at 8 weeks of age. We also require a $100 deposit if you're wanting us to hold a piglet that you're interested in.
